An Adaptive Federated Intelligence Framework for Zero-Trust Enterprise Cloud Security and Autonomous Compliance Governance
Abstract
Modern enterprise cloud environments are increasingly distributed, dynamic, and heterogeneous, making traditional perimeter-based security models insufficient for ensuring robust protection and regulatory compliance. Zero-trust architecture has emerged as a foundational security paradigm; however, its practical implementation at scale is challenged by continuous identity verification requirements, evolving threat landscapes, and complex compliance obligations across jurisdictions. This paper proposes an Adaptive Federated Intelligence Framework that integrates federated learning, contextual AI reasoning, and autonomous policy enforcement to enable zero-trust enterprise cloud security with continuous compliance governance. The framework eliminates reliance on centralized data aggregation by enabling distributed nodes to collaboratively train security intelligence models while preserving data sovereignty. It incorporates adaptive trust scoring, behavioral analytics, and reinforcement-driven decision systems to dynamically evaluate access requests, detect anomalies, and trigger automated remediation actions. Additionally, compliance governance is embedded as a continuous process using machine-readable regulatory policies mapped to runtime cloud configurations. The proposed framework enhances scalability, reduces response latency, and improves resilience against sophisticated cyber threats such as insider attacks and multi-vector intrusion campaigns. By combining federated intelligence with autonomous governance mechanisms, the framework transforms enterprise security from static enforcement to adaptive, self-evolving, and intelligent defense orchestration suitable for next-generation cloud ecosystems
