Enhancing Causal AI Enabled Autonomous Cloud Security Intelligence Framework for Proactive Enterprise Cyber Defense Systems
Abstract
The rapid adoption of cloud computing has significantly transformed enterprise information technology infrastructures while simultaneously expanding the cyber threat landscape. Traditional cloud security mechanisms often rely on reactive detection techniques that struggle to identify sophisticated and evolving cyberattacks in real time. The integration of Causal Artificial Intelligence (Causal AI) into autonomous cloud security intelligence frameworks provides a promising approach to improving proactive cyber defense capabilities by identifying cause-and-effect relationships rather than relying solely on statistical correlations. This study explores an enhanced Causal AI-enabled autonomous cloud security intelligence framework designed to strengthen enterprise cybersecurity through predictive threat detection, automated incident response, continuous risk assessment, and adaptive decision-making. The proposed framework integrates causal inference models, machine learning algorithms, cloud-native security tools, threat intelligence platforms, and automated orchestration technologies to establish a resilient cyber defense ecosystem. The research adopts a qualitative and conceptual methodology supported by extensive literature analysis to evaluate existing cloud security limitations and identify opportunities for intelligent automation. The findings suggest that incorporating causal reasoning significantly improves threat explainability, reduces false positives, accelerates response time, and enhances organizational cyber resilience. The study concludes that Causal AI represents a transformative advancement in autonomous cloud security by enabling enterprises to anticipate cyber threats, optimize security operations, and ensure continuous protection against increasingly sophisticated attacks
