Transforming Supply Chain Resilience through AI-Enabled Cloud Intelligence and Predictive Modeling
Abstract
Supply chains are increasingly exposed to disruptions arising from geopolitical instability, natural disasters, pandemics, transportation failures, cyber threats, supplier shortages, volatile demand, and rapidly changing customer expectations. These challenges have demonstrated that conventional supply-chain management approaches focused primarily on efficiency and cost reduction are insufficient for maintaining continuity under uncertain conditions. Artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and predictive modeling provide new opportunities to develop supply chains that can anticipate risks, adapt operations, and recover rapidly from disruptions. AI-enabled cloud intelligence integrates data from enterprise systems, suppliers, logistics providers, Internet of Things devices, market platforms, and external information sources into a scalable analytical environment. Predictive models can then transform this information into forecasts concerning demand, inventory shortages, supplier risks, transportation delays, and emerging disruptions. This study examines how the integration of AI, cloud intelligence, and predictive modeling can transform supply-chain resilience. It proposes an integrated framework in which real-time data acquisition, cloud-based integration, machine-learning forecasting, anomaly detection, risk prediction, and intelligent decision support operate as a continuous resilience mechanism. A mixed experimental and simulation-based methodology is proposed to compare conventional supply-chain management with an AI-enabled approach under normal and disrupted conditions. Key performance indicators include forecast accuracy, delivery reliability, inventory availability, recovery time, service level, resource utilization, and operational cost. The study seeks to establish whether predictive intelligence can enable organizations to shift from reactive disruption management toward proactive, adaptive, and data-driven resilience
