Intelligent SaaS Usage and Cost Optimization Using Large-Scale Behavioral Analytics

Abstract

The rapid adoption of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions has transformed how businesses operate while introducing new challenges related to subscription costs, license utilization, application overlap, and inefficient user adoption. The framework suggested by this research is an intelligent SaaS usage and cost optimization framework with large-scale behavioral analytics to determine patterns of consumption and allow data-driven management of SaaS. This system integrates behavioral accountancy usage and application interactions, organizational context, and subscription metadata, user activity, and on the SaaS environment to create a more detailed behavioral profile. Large-scale analytics and machine learning identify unused licenses, idle subscriptions, applications that are not being used, unusual usage behavior, and opportunities to scale-in licenses. Behavioral segmentation can enable the difference between the real business needs and inefficient or inconsistent usage of SaaS with predictive analytics estimates of future increments of demand and cost. Policy-driven layer of optimization converts the analysis into actionable suggestions on what to do with licenses, what to do with subscriptions, where to consolidate applications, and how to plan renewals. The framework also takes into account transparency and privacy by ensuring transparency and privacy through transparency, privacy, and limited decision-making mechanisms. This is evaluated in terms of analytical accuracy, the visibility of the utilization, cost-saving potential, recommendation scale, and effective recommendations. According to the approach suggested, behavioral intelligence will be utilized to transform SaaS management, no longer being the tool to gain passive insight into subscriptions but be an active, dynamic, and analytics-driven optimization feature to be implemented on big corporations.
